SUBJECT: Beta Testing of Textra

(1) Per your recent request, I am providing you with the current status of our beta testing on Textra. (2) It appears that contact has now been made with all of our testers and we have reached an agreement with most of them to perform an evaluation of the program. (3) Several of them, however, are hesitating because of the fact that we are asking them to sign a confidentiality statement. (4) As a result of their hesitation, the testing has been delayed. (5) We are now in the process of seeking other beta testers who are not quite as reluctant and unwilling. (6) In order to reach our test quota in a timely manner, we will offer an additional $200. to new testers. (7) It is our expectation that they will respond in a positive way.

(8) Earlier this week we had an opportunity to conduct a survey of those of our testers who have used Textcheck. (9) It is clear that many of them are in a position to switch to Textra if it will have an effect on their productivity and convenience of use. (10) It is my suspicion that it will and that we will get their input in the very near future.

(11) In an effort to keep you up to date on this beta testing, and the extent to which we are making progress on it, you will be provided with status reports on a weekly basis until the testing is completed. (12) I have every confidence that we can now handle this testing on schedule.
