Open your e-mail program, and prepare a message to the following address:
Do not put anything in the subject entry of your email message.
In the body of your message put only the following:
subscribe
Do not use a return signature or address in the body of your message. Of course, your e-mail program may automatically assign one for the from entry - don't worry about that.

USING THE CLASS LIST
When you want to send a message to the entire class (including me), simply send it as you normally would any e-mail message but address it to:
At the end of the term, we will discuss how to remove yourself from the list.

owner-adcom@silcon.com --> directs to barry@silcon.com
adcom-request@silcon.com --> directs to majordomo list handling
adcom-approval@silcon.com --> directs to barry@silcon.com
If you ever want to remove yourself from this mailing list,
send the following command in email to
<adcom-request@silcon.com>:
unsubscribe
Or you can send mail to <Majordomo> with the following
command in the body of your email message:
unsubscribe gman202 barry@rhetor.com (of course, you replace mine with your e-mail address!)
If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list,
(if you have trouble unsubscribing, or have questions about the
list itself) send email to <owner-adcom@silcon.com> .
This is the general rule for most mailing lists when you need
to contact a human.
